Welcome to my foto blog. I'm making a serious committment to take at least a picture a day for 2008. Each of these pictures are meaningful to me in some way either from the past or present. Bailey, my Shitz Tzu, often takes morsels of his food and lays them on the tile. He evens lays some of the pieces on my carpet in the living room. Last night and this morning he had pieces of his food laying both places. He will then eat everything in the bowl and leave the rest on the tile or on the carpet. I suppose these pieces are stale. But eventually he will eat them.
Does you dog do this??
These two pieces of computer equipment caused me much anger today. Shame on you!!!!

This evening Bailey and I went for our normal walk. This cat was lounging next to this tree and Bailey so badly wanted to befriend him/her. I thought the cat would sit still and hiss a bit and allow Bailey to check him/her out. But that didn't happen. He/she took off and stopped in the middle of our street. Now I know that most cats will run very fast away from dogs. However, there is one cat in our neighborhood that usually lets Bailey get very friendly. Not this one.
This is a very special picture of mine. This is my first dog Ashley, a yorkshire terrier. She died 14 years ago of pancreatic infection. She was so dear to me and I was devastated when she unexpectedly died. I had her cremated and I attached my favorite photo to her ashes.

I was very blessed in 1997 in that I was a guest to this lovely island - St. Thomas USVI. Oh my gosh!!! It was heaven!!! We stayed in the Ritz Carlton Hotel for one week all expenses paid.
On the days that I don't work, I've noticed that Bailey sleeps off and on all day until late afternoon. It dawned on me today while I was busy working at my computer that he wasn't barking at me to go outside or to play with him. He was on his bed fast asleep. I walked over to check on him and he raised his head.
When I get home in the evenings, he is ready to play and wants all of my attention. The little stinker!!

I just had to take a picture of this lonely pot of pansies that I'm trying to nurture and test my green thumb.
This is a Segway scooter that some of the Targets use in the Dallas, Texas area use for security to help eliminate crime around their store. I talk with their security often for my own awareness and they've told me that since they've begun using these, the crime has decreased tremendously. Needless to say when I see them out zipping through the parking lot I feel a tremendous comfort.
