Bailey, my Shitz Tzu, often takes morsels of his food and lays them on the tile. He evens lays some of the pieces on my carpet in the living room. Last night and this morning he had pieces of his food laying both places. He will then eat everything in the bowl and leave the rest on the tile or on the carpet. I suppose these pieces are stale. But eventually he will eat them. Does you dog do this??

Yes!! They take out the bits they don't like and eat the rest. I have found that if I don't refill the bowl they will eat it all but in their own time.
